Within this picturesque valley, history-rich monasteries often take root around ancient cliff-top meditation caves, safeguarding an ancient form of Buddhism for posterity

  • Itinerary


    Day 0 - Delhi to Manali. 
    Gather at the boarding point in Delhi. Meet your Trip Captain. Board your Bus to Manali. Overnight Journey to Manali. 

     

    Day 1 - Manali Arrival & Sightseeing. 
    Arrive manali early morning. Check-in the hotel. Rest for a while. Then, you can head for manali self exploration. You can visit Mall Road, Hadimba Devi Temple & do cafe hopping in Old Manali. 

     

    Day 2 - Manali to Keylong/Jispa. 
    Our journey begins from Manali as we drive through the iconic Atal Tunnel, heading towards Keylong. Along the way, we’ll take a refreshing 1-hour halt at the stunning Sissu Valley, known for its waterfalls and picturesque landscapes. Continuing the adventure, we’ll stop at Darcha for a 30-minute lunch break before visiting the serene Deepak Taal and the breathtaking Suraj Taal, two mesmerizing high-altitude lakes. The drive will take us across the thrilling Baralacha La Pass, situated at an altitude of 15,907 ft, offering panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains. We’ll end the day with a relaxing stay at Keylong.

     

    Day 3 - Keylong to Gombuk Ranjon. 
    On Day 3, our journey takes us from Keylong to the serene Gombok Ranjon, a place of spiritual and natural significance. We’ll cross the breathtaking Shinku La Pass situated at an altitude of 16,703ft, where we’ll pause for an hour to take in the stunning views and the tranquility of the high-altitude landscape. From there, we’ll head directly to Gombok Ranjon through the rugged terrain of Zanskar Himalayas, known for its striking rock formations that hold deep cultural and religious importance for locals. These sacred cliffs are often referred to as "Ranjon Maharaj," symbolizing a divine presence. Gombo Rangjon mountain is a pilgrimage site for both buddhists and hindus. The day ends with an overnight stay in the peaceful Gombok Ranjon Camps, allowing you to connect with the majestic surroundings. Today we'll do stargazing session ans Astrophotography as milkyway rises from behind the Gombo Rangjon mountain at midnight. For bonus the trip captain will give you some basic teaching to astrophotography and long exposure photography for phone and Dslr.

     

    Day 4 - Gombuk Ranjon to Padum. 
    On Day 4, we journey from Gombok Ranjon to Padum, delving deeper into the heart of Zanskar Valley. Our first stop is the awe-inspiring confluence of the Kargyak and Tsarap rivers, which merge to form the Lungnak River, a lifeline of this region. Next, we embark on a memorable trek to the renowned Phuktal Monastery, a spiritual marvel carved into a cliffside, accessible only by foot. This ancient monastery offers a rare blend of tranquility, history, and breathtaking views. The day concludes as we reach Padum, ready to rest and prepare for more adventures ahead.

     

    Day 5 - Padum Sightseeing. 
    is dedicated to exploring the beauty of Padum and its surrounding marvels. Begin the day with a visit to the majestic Drang Drung Glacier, a breathtaking expanse of ice nestled amidst rugged mountains. Next, explore the serene Pensi la pass at 14,400ft,  Lang Tso and Stat Tso Lakes, known for their crystal-clear waters and tranquil surroundings. Today we'll have a fun activity of making lunch for ourselves by the lake.

     Dive into Zanskar’s rich spiritual heritage with a visit to the Karsha Monastery, the largest monastery in the region. Conclude the day at Sani Lake by the Guru Padmasambhava statue, home to the famous Buddha Point, where you can witness a mesmerizing sunset that perfectly encapsulates the beauty of Zanskar.

     

    Day 6 - Padum to Keylong. 
    Day 6 marks the journey back from Padum to Keylong, retracing the stunning landscapes of Zanskar. Before departing, visit the Waterfalls near Padum or the Padum View Monastery, offering panoramic views of the valley and a chance to bid farewell to the serene beauty of this region. The journey back is filled with memories of the rugged terrain and captivating vistas. Stay at Keylong for the night.

     

    Day 7 - Keylong to Manali. Overnight Journey to Delhi. 
    Day 7 begins with a visit to the Trilokinath Temple, a sacred site considered as significant as Kailash Mansarovar. After soaking in its spiritual ambiance, head towards Old Manali or Solang Valley to explore the serene beauty and local attractions. Post this, the journey continues to Manali, marking the end of the Zanskar Valley Expedition. Later in the evening, embark on an overnight journey back to Delhi, carrying unforgettable memories of this incredible adventure.

    • Cancellation of booking of tour 1 month or more before the date of Departure will result in 10% deduction in the cost of the tour.
    • Cancellation of booking of tour 21-30 days before the date of Departure will result in 40% deduction of the cost of the tour.
    • Cancellation of booking of tour 11-20 days before the date of Departure will result in 60% deduction of the cost of the tour.
    • Cancellation of booking of tour 6-10 days before the date of Departure will result in 80% deduction of the cost of the tour.
    • Cancellation of booking of tour 1-5 days before the date of Departure will result in 100% deduction of the cost of the tour.

    Guidance

    • Travellers are reminded that there is a 20kg limit on personal luggage for all roadtrips.
    • Tell us if you have any problem regarding to Altitude sickness or breathing.
    • Cameras, whether video or film, needed to be protected against the severe cold. We're not responsible if any damage is done.
    • No insurance is provided during the trek. You can take it seperately if you want.
    • When between stays, please carry your daily personal rubbish like plastic to the next stay.  Hand it over to us at the end of day, we'll take care of it.
    • Remember – “Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints”. So, keep the mountains clean and green.
    • Strong painkillers are not recommended as they can suppress respiration.
    • Personal expense of any kind will not be entertained.
